My name is Lorry Schwellenbach and I am the counselor here at Brown School. This is my eighth year at Brown, but my first year being here full time. In the past I have gone back and forth between two schools. I’ve had the opportunity to work at Small, Kaler and Marsh in addition to Brown, and it has been wonderful to work with so many great teachers, students and families throughout this district. But I am so happy now to be in one school and to be able to provide a more consistent program. I have a masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado. I worked many years in the mental health field before starting to work in schools. This is my 17 th year as an elementary school counselor and I love it! I am here for all students, supporting them in their efforts to learn and assisting them in their social and emotional growth. I work with students in classrooms, in small groups and individually, and I welcome any opportunities to work together with families to help their children in any way.
