Dear Brown School Families,

This has been such a glorious Maine summer; I hope that all of you have had lots of
opportunities to enjoy it with family and friends. As we approach the end of August
activity at Brown School is increasing. Mrs. Funk and I are back in the office, teachers
are setting up classrooms and the custodians are working hard to get every inch of the
building clean and shiny, all in anticipation of the opening of the 2010-2011 school year.

Every new school year brings about a few changes. This year we have some new staff
members joining us and a few former staff members returning. New to Brown this year,
Mr. James Schoonover will be our K-2 Resource Room Teacher. He will be replacing
Mrs. Reddy who is not leaving us but she will have a self contained Special Education
program for some of our incoming Kindergarten students. Joining Mrs. Reddy in that
room will be Paula Proctor and Tonia Davenport as Ed. Techs.

This year we will have Sue Cox, Art Teacher, John Rimkunas, Music Teacher and Briana
Roberts, P.E. teacher joining Mrs. DeGeorge, Mrs. Osann and Mr. Conley. They were
here with us a few years ago and we welcome them back to Brown.
